Ways We Help
Georgia Dairy Goat Breeders Association is in the business of educating breeders and promoting dairy goats. The work we do at our Non-Profit Organization is aimed at providing a holistic approach to solving some of our dairy goat society’s biggest challenges. We make sure our members and non-members are empowered by creating opportunities for youth, breeders, and those just interested in learning more.
Educational Programs
Learning about Dairy Goats
With these programs, our goal is to promote great opportunities for those things you need to learn hands-on that is difficult to do by just youtubing it yourself. With access to the right resources, people can become confident in their own abilities to maintain a dairy goat herd to its fullest potential. Learn more about our programs by getting in touch with us today or checking out the calendar of events.
Dairy Goat Shows
Showing off your amazing herd and win prizes & recognition
Our Show committee works hard to bring you comprehensive dairy goat show(s) (typically in the spring). Our shows include an open dairy goat show and will also have a showmanship clinic and class the evening before to educate new and experienced show men&women. There are impressive breeders, competitive goats, learning opportunities, food and fun at these events. We hope all who want to learn to show and who enjoy showing off their goats correctness will enter the show each year.
Youth Programs
Education and Showmanship
At Georgia Dairy Goat Breeders Association, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in educating and promoting dairy goats to the next generation. We currently have a Youth Education Clinic in the Summer, a Showmanship Clinic at our Spring Show and offer a Youth only Award Program (the Kay James Youth Award) where youth earn points by placing at Georgia dairy goat shows and win awards at the end of the year. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support.
